Demon Slayer : Infinity Castle review

Image
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castel  Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba has exploded as one of the most lucrative brands of the past decade. The original manga inspired an anime that ran for 63 episodes. That paved the way for the feature Mugen Train, which skyrocketed past Your Name and Spirited Away at the Japanese box office. At the US box office, Mugen Train is the second-highest-grossing anime film after Pokémon: The First Movie. Now it continues with Infinity Castle, which – full disclosure – is my official introduction to the franchise. I considered at least watching a few episodes of the series to prepare myself, but ultimately, I went in blind. Was that a mistake? Let’s just say that Infinity Castle isn’t like Cowboy Bebop: The Movie or Trigun: Badlands Rumble, which newcomers could easily jump into without necessarily seeing their respective shows. That’s not to say Infinity Castle doesn’t catch us up on a few plot points, but the film lives up to its ...

A Mesmerizing experience of an excellent story : THE JUNGLE BOOK by Rudyard Kipling

Rudyard Kipling’s “The Jungle Book” is a classic compilation of tales which was originally published in the year 1894.   I absolutely loved Coolie! For me, this is a 5-star film all the way. To be honest, it felt more like a Lokesh Kanagaraj movie than a typical Rajini sir mass entertainer, but that was part of the magic. Lokesh’s signature style, the layered screenplay, and all the twists and turns kept me hooked from start to finish. Rajini sir as Deva was nothing short of electrifying. The de-aging was done brilliantly—it looked smooth and believable, and it didn’t take away from his performance at all. Seeing him in those younger, fiery moments was pure nostalgia, but then his natural mass screen presence and charisma in the current-day scenes gave me literal goosebumps. Even at 74, no one can own the screen like him. The music was just top-notch. Anirudh Ravichander carried the soul of the film. Chikitu had that bouncy energy that set the tone right away, Monica was a total crowd-pleaser with its viral vibe and choreography, Powerhouse was exactly what the title promised—high-voltage, mass-h...
